As with any decision to retrain, I would recommend that you explore the potential market for your future career. Is there a market for the skills you will gain through re-training and therefore a sustainable future? The vision for 2020 suggests that the elite worker will be highly skilled and in respect to re-training this could actually take you further into this category, depending on your choice.
